Privacy Policy

Be Free Digital LLC operates Caliche, a construction bid estimation platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@caliche.io.

• Account data — name, company name, and email address provided at signup.
• Uploaded files — bid schedule files (Excel, PDF) you upload for pricing. These are processed and then discarded; we do not store the raw files beyond the session.
• Priced output — the structured line-item data generated from your upload is stored and linked to your account so you can re-download it.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, browser type, and IP address, collected automatically for product analytics.
• Payment data — processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers or full payment details on our servers.

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Caliche platform.
• Process your bid files and return pricing output.
• Send transactional emails (confirmation, receipts, service notices).
• Analyze product usage to prioritize improvements.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We use the following sub-processors to operate the platform:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• OpenAI — natural language processing for bid item matching.
• Pinecone — vector search index for price lookups.
• Vercel / Railway — application hosting and infrastructure.

Each sub-processor has its own privacy policy and data processing agreement with us. We do not sell your data to any third party.

Account data is retained for the life of your account plus 90 days after deletion. Priced bid outputs are retained as long as your account is active so you can re-download them. Raw uploaded files are not stored after processing. Usage logs are retained for up to 12 months.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@caliche.io. We will respond within 30 days. Account deletion removes your personal data and all associated pricing history.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted database storage, and role-level access controls via Supabase Row Level Security. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. Please use a strong, unique password.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
